EFFECTIVE PROPAGATION & TRAINING
Do more with less through teamwork!
We serve commercial greenhouses
in the Eastern Fraser Valley
Propagation Optmization
Our focus is on productivity and quality.

We offer four main service programs to support Propagation;

1. Propagation systems
2. Water management
3. Pest and disease identification and bio-controls
4. Greenhouse sanitation

All programs commence with a site-visit followed by a service(s) proposal. We then work as a part of the propagation growing team over an agreed period to an agreed schedule.

Our work concludes with a presentation including a formal, written report and recommendations.

Propagation systems
Maximize numbers of saleable plants produced by propagation

Reduce labour costs & crop losses
Monitor inputs and outputs at each stage of propagation (seeding / sticking, rooting, propagating, and transplanting) and interview staff as necessary.

Our detailed observations enable us to assess the effectiveness of current systems and procedures
and make practical recommendations for quality and productivity optimization.

Water Management
Optimize quality of crops and reduce losses
Review crop types and growth stages and assess current watering / misting schedules.

Carry out spot inspections of roots, leaves and soil.
Identify irrigation water supply issues (e.g. EC, PH).
Identify watering system glitches that cause proliferation of pests, algae and liverwort.

Pests & Diseases
Establish systems and procedures
to reduce crop losses and minimize costs
of pest and disease control
Scout for pests and diseases and conditions that favour their proliferation.
Break pest life-cycles with cultural & mechanical controls.
Identify insect “hot-spots” and recommend bio-controls.
Identify and minimize disease vectors.
Establish recording systems to relate pests and diseases to seasons and locations

Greenhouse Sanitation
Minimize the potential for pest and disease outbreaks, and reduce or eliminate the use of chemical controls and associated costs
Assess: sanitary conditions, sanitation procedures and waste and garbage handling and storage.
Identify actual/potential contamination sources.
